need some advice.. D - play calling against the pitch/toss play

not sure if this is posted in the correct section of the forums or not, but as the title of the thread says, i need some advice. as a side statement, i am not sure if many of you still care for madden 09 online, but i hope you can throw me a bone here and help me out!

i play madden online daily and really enjoy most of the games i play against others. the games i don't enjoy are the games when some players stack 2 RBs and a TE in their backfield with 1 WR flanked out wide and continuously pitch the ball to one of the RBs. for the life of me, i can not stop these kind of plays. wether i go man and shift my LBs over either way, go in a cover 2 or 3 zone, trying blitz packages, nothing i seem to do works! i also use the pass/run commit as needed, but that doesn't help me out either with this.

i only play with the packers and only use their default playbooks. i guess i am not conisdered a hardcore madden gamer so i am not as leet as probably half of you all are.

to my question, can anyone give me some advice as to certain plays, set ups, or blitzes that may help me against the pitch/toss? i am not looking to cheese or anything, i am just trying to get better.

Oh man...I have never had any trouble against the toss/pitch I probably on average stop it for a 2-3 yards loss..but I do use the Colts who are a very fast D....Idk what to tell you I have never had the problem...

Well if its a pitch or toss you gotta play the outside!! make sure they dont cut inside and dont rush right towards them...just make them run to the sidelines

Don't overthink the play and use your safety for whichever side they are running to. I'm in a league and this guy uses Willie Parker out of a NEAR or FAR formation on a sweep and kills people with that play. I started using a 3-4 defense just against him and it gets the job done.
