in season visit help

using Appalachian State in my dynasty and trying to recruit a MLB. i replaced my team with Army, so my rivals are Air Force and Navy. I scheduled my recruit's visit against Navy, and the pitches i used were Athletic Facilities, Fan Base, and Proximity to home. Here is his pitch info:

Damien Blanco
Athletic Facilities - Very High
Fan Base - Most
Proximity to Home - Very High

Appalachian State
Athletic Facilities - A
Fan Base - A
Proximity to Home - A+

So i used the best pitches available and played a rival. His visit was only a B+ rating and he signed with Florida State the following week.

Help, what am I doing wrong?

Here's the things that contribute (off the top of my head):

Rival
Conference Opponent
Selected Pitches
Average of all Pitches
Close win
Shutout

For the most part, expect B and B+ for either non-rival conference opponents or non conference rivals. You really only hit those wacky A+ visits that make a guy soft verbal very soon if you match his favorite pitches and beat a conference rival during the visit.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if FSU got him after beating a conference rival during his visit. The CPU tries to schedule visits for the conference rival games, and FSU has several conference rivals to choose from.

FSU scheduled their visit against Miami the week BEFORE my visit and they lost. So im really not sure what went wrong. I beat Navy 52-21

So is it more beneficial to schedule a visit against an unranked confererence rival or say a top 15, top 10 nonconference opponent. Also, does it help your school if say you're number 2 on the prospect's list and on his visit, you beat the school that was his number one?

Yes, you are always better off with non conference rivals versus non conference non rivals. From my experience though, non rival conference opponents are about equal to non conference rivals (this is getting confusing).

As far as beating the #1 guy during his visit, that will obviously help as a big portion of a recruit's interest in your school comes from wins and losses. So you get the + from the win and the guy above you gets the - from his loss.

Thanks Adam, I presonally love the recruiting aspect of dynasty mode and have definitely noticed the evolution.

This is interesting stuff, thanks Adam. While we're at it, which is a better result for a visit--a close win or a shutout? Do you get credit for both if you win, say, 3-0?
