Thinking about getting a hockey game...

I heard hockey games were pretty fun, however, I don't really want to spend $60 on a hockey game so I was wondering which game (NHL 07 08 09 or NHL 2k7 2k8 2k9 or whatever ones there are) you guys thought was the best?

Out of those you mentioned I would go with NHL09 personally. 2K8 is solid, but the controls aren't appealing and neither is the AI. NHL09 is a bit too "clean" to really be called hockey, but it's smooth playing and fun.

Or buy 2K10 or NHL 10 used.

EA's NHL 09 owned the podium so-to-speak last year and for $20
retail you get yourself a terrific game. 2K10 with 2K "Share" is a good
bargain as well.

I agree with this. NHL 09 @ 20 bucks is a steal. I think 2k10 used is 26.99. Either way, you'll be good to go for not a lot of money. That's a win in my book.

You can probably get 2k10 or NHL 10 used on eBay for a reasonable price at this point. No need to go with 09 (unless you want to).
