Franchise Team?

I love this game but I can never really play Franchise to the fullest capabilities with the my favorite team (Yankees), because they are already built and have a huge budget. Now that gets boring after a while.

So, What team should I be that is a team with a decent budget and a decent core, but needs to be built into a dynasty.

Rangers, Mariners, Twins, Giants, Marlins, Braves would all be good choices.
