Flaw in NCAA 11

So EA has been hyping "120 ways to Win" as a new feature in NCAA 11. While their intentions were good, they made an error when installing this new feature. When putting in these new offensive styles EA didn't consider an important factor, personnel. Take Florida for example. The game wants you to run the gator heavy offense... problem is that you don't have Tebow to run it because he left for the pros. I believe their new QB is a pocket paser and is more suited to run a pro style offense. Another example is Clemson's offense based around C.J. Spiller. The problem is that he is gone lol. All of these offensive styles are based around last year's personnel. It would have been nice if EA used some imagination and updated what a team might run based on THIS YEAR'S players.

Good point. When playing against Florida the CPU likes to use Gator Heavy QB dive which would get Brantley killed IRL.

Re: Flaw in NCAA 11

Just because players leave a school dosen't mean the offense is gone. Florida has run there offense there way for awhile and I'm sure it won't change much. Same thing for Clemson.

I swear it seems like people are just trying to find thing to pick at that are wrong about this game.

The offensive systems remain regardless. Sure, teams like Florida and Clemson are going to have to make slight adjustments but the principles of the offense will likely remain the same.

I think what he is trying to say is the new QB at Florida shouldn't be running dives straight into the heart of the defense.

yeah basically florida will sub brantley for a backup if they run that irl this year, the game should have anticipated that because they talked about a big guy and speedier guy this spring as options for that.

This is why we need a coaching carousel feature with coaches recruiting players that fit their system

EDIT: I realized after posting this that this doesn't make all that much sense in this topic but my desire for a coaching carousel is so great it just pops into my mind every time I come to these boards!

Re: Flaw in NCAA 11

I've played UF vs. FSU six times now, and find it incredibly realistic because the Gators kicked the crap out of them every time, in Ron Zook Stadium no less. But, ahem ...

In the demo, UF's new QB Brantley runs like Tebow when he scrambles or hits a defender. Cool, but alas that was not in NCAA '10, where Tebow ran slow like Brantley.

Digging the demo, it is an addictive little bugger.
