What position is best in RTTS where you don't play much D?

I'm a baseball noob, so I don't know too much about certain positions. In my current 3rd year RTTS, I'm a 1st basemen. Although playing that position has become very boring and tedious, and I'm wondering if there's a position where I don't have to really play much D. The game only seems to put you in the game if the ball is gonna come into contact with you on D. So as first basemen, I'm probably obviously gonna see alot of action? If I was an outfielder, I'm thinking I'd probably see less, unless there were pop balls gonna come my way (which probably wouldn't be that often)

You could just chose skip the fielding portions

In gameplay options, there is a setting for the amount of fielding plays that you are involved in. The options are ALL, SOME, and NONE. ALL means all plays, including pretty much all groundballs as a first baseman; SOME means all non-routine plays; and NONE means just that, no defensive plays.

Yeah if you don't wanna field too often your best bet is probably turning it off. Every position is likely to see action. Might play one game in the infield and have 10 chances. Might play another where you have 2. All in all it'll end up being about the same number of times you'll field the ball. The only ones to really avoid are first (every ground ball will be thrown to you) catcher (you call every single pitch) and pitcher (you throw every single pitch... till you're taken out anyway). So really you probably are just better off skipping the fielding if you don't want to do it. IF you do that then it doesn't matter where you play.
