CCPIPER'S MADDEN NFL 2011 USER VS. CPU SLIDER SET

These sliders are meant for the utmost realistic NFL statistics and these are also meant for franchise games that are User vs. CPU. These are also great sliders for Gameflow, because exploit plays may work very well in this game, so please, if you want the game to be fun and realistic, rather than each season being 19-0, then do not call exploit plays on a regular basis (such as ALWAYS calling Four Verticals or at least always throwing deep every play) and also try not to perform any sort of things that any NFL teams wouldn't try to do (such as going for 2 after every touchdown) if you want realistic NFL statistics.

These work even better, I'm sure, if you have made 64 gameplans for each NFL team, offense and defense. I'm sure that some of you have, and so that just makes the CPU playcalling more proficient, making these sliders even more comparable to the NFL. These sliders are, once again, NFL statistical simulation sliders, so if you are trying to get good statistics, try these out, and leave me some suggestions.

Also (and this is IMPORTANT), whenever the computer has the ball on offense, make sure that you do not call your defensive play until the play clock goes down as far as it can go. Normally the play clock will run down 6 seconds and then it will stop and force you to call your defensive play. DON'T call your play until the play clock stops. However far down the play clock ticks depends on the sequence of the cutscenes, so sometimes it won't go down past 37. This is VERY IMPORTANT, however, because the CPU will snap the ball almost immediately after they all get into their stances (so they will snap it with about 14 left on the play clock). Since the CPU snaps the ball with about 14 seconds left on the play clock, doing this will still make it seem as though 40 seconds ran off of the game clock rather than 25, and this will give the CPU a relatively close time of possession to the human unless the human really does control the clock with a devastating running game or a dink-n'-dunk style of a passing game. Doing this will affect EVERYTHING from the score, yardage, plays run, fatigue of players, length of drives, time of possesion, substitution, etc. So make SURE that you do this. It makes much more of a difference than one would think.

And one other thing, make sure that you don't SuperSIM.

Re: CCPiper's Madden NFL 2011 User vs. CPU Slider Set

Here are some statistics from my first franchise mode game (I used these sliders obviously).

Indianapolis Colts (User) @ Houston Texans (CPU)
Team 1 2 3 4 F
IND 7 12 7 3 29
HOU 3 3 7 3 16

Team Stats
IND
Total Yards=283
Passing Yards=189
Rushing Yards=94
First Downs=13
3rd Down Efficiency=10-16(62%)
4th Down Efficiency=0-0
Turnovers=3(-2)
Penalties=3-50
Time of Possession=32:18

HOU
Total Yards=324
Passing Yards=211
Rushing Yards=113
First Downs=14
3rd Down Efficiency=2-12(16%)
4th Down Efficiency=0-1(0%)
Turnovers=1(+2)
Penalties=7-40
Time of Possession=27:42

Team Leaders
IND
Peyton Manning=20-32, 189 yds, 1 TD, 2 INTs
Joseph Addai=23 att, 58 yds, 1 TD, 4 rec, 31 yds

HOU
Matt Schaub=18-32, 245 yds
Steve Slaton=23 att, 111 yds, 1 TD, 2 rec, 12 yds

I was very happy with this gameplay. I was able to rush the QB a little bit too much though (6 sacks), but I will play more than one game before I change the set. It was a nice, low yardage game, and the score was very realistic considering two great offenses were playing. My special teams did great and was a huge part of my win. They essentially scored me 15 points. I had Vinatieri kick 2 FGs, then Gonzalez had a punt return for a TD (my first one in Madden 11), and McAfee punted it down to the 1 yard line, which resulted in a safety by Bob Sanders.

Overall, I was very pleased with these sliders and how well they worked. Now remember, these are made off of my skill level and playing style. So, if you call cheap plays that work everytime (which I do not since I only use Gameflow and the audible system), then these sliders will most likely be ineffective. Even if you're just plain better than me, then what I'd suggest is moving any sliders that you feel are too easy (or too hard for that matter), gradually until you find a number that works consistently for you.

I will be posting more statistics in the future.

Re: CCPiper's Madden NFL 2011 User vs. CPU Slider Set

Second game of franchise mode

New York Giants (CPU) @ Indianapolis Colts (User)
Team 1 2 3 4 F
NYG 3 0 0 14 17
IND 0 14 7 3 24

Team Stats
NYG
Total Yards=398
Passing Yards=276
Rushing Yards=122
First Downs=16
3rd Down Efficiency=4-15(26%)
4th Down Efficiency=2-2(100%)
Turnovers=4(-2)
Penalties=5-50
Time of Possession=24:44

IND
Total Yards=338
Passing Yards=223
Rushing Yards=115
First Downs=17
3rd Down Efficiency=2-12(16%)
4th Down Efficiency=0-0
Turnovers=2(+2)
Penalties=3-20
Time of Possession=35:16

Team Leaders
NYG
Eli Manning=20-44, 290 yds, 2 TDs, 2 INTs
Brandon Jacobs=21 att, 123 yds, 1 rec, 11 yds

IND
Peyton Manning=25-41, 223 yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT
Joseph Addai=22 att, 104 yds, 5 rec, 34 yds

Once again, I was happy with how these sliders performed. The passing game is quite a challenge as you really have to maintain your poise in the pocket it seems like. Peyton for me started off 5-12 I believe in the first half. But then in the second half, I started to get nice drives that ate a lot of clock and didn't give the Giants enough time to do anything. They scored a TD with 0:01 left in the 4th quarter, but it pretty much didn't matter. However, the CPU seemed to be better at clock management, as it was trying to get out-of-bounds and Eli was doing a nice job passing it toward the sidelines.

Also, the total yardage, once again, seemed pretty good and accurate, as well as the score. This is surprising to me since it is fifteen minute quarters, but the total play count is a 120 to 140 average (normally around 120 or 125ish) which is the exact average of the NFL. I'm starting to love these sliders for me, and it is really giving me nice, low scoring games (at least in my opinion, as I'm playing with the Colts). I only had two sacks this time around, which seems to be good. Eli Manning's completion percentage was too low, but remember, every game is different, and I will not change anything unless something consistently happens. I will keep posting updates for each game I play.

I hope you have fun!

Re: CCPiper's Madden NFL 2011 User vs. CPU Slider Set

Third game of franchise mode with these sliders

Indianapolis Colts (User) @ Denver Broncos (CPU)
Team 1 2 3 4 F
IND 3 13 9 0 25
DEN 3 3 0 3 9

Team Stats
IND
Total Yards=421
Passing Yards=306
Rushing Yards=115
First Downs=18
3rd Down Efficiency=7-13(53%)
4th Down Efficiency=0-0
Turnovers=0(+1)
Penalties=2-10
Time of Possession=35:47

DEN
Total Yards=349
Passing Yards=237
Rushing Yards=112
First Downs=16
3rd Down Efficiency=5-12(41%)
4th Down Efficiency=0-0
Turnovers=1(-1)
Penalties=2-15
Time of Possession=24:13

Team Leaders
IND
Peyton Manning=27-36, 307 yds, 3 TD
Dallas Clark=5 rec, 111 yds

DEN
Kyle Orton=17-29 253 yds, 1 INT
Knowshon Moreno=19 att, 98 yds

For the third straight time, I am pleased with these sliders! It was a very accurate statistical game according to the matchup. The Colts getting 421 yards is very realistic, and Peyton Manning finally had his first good game. This was also the first game that I beat the CPU in the statistical department. I always won scorewise, but not statistically. These sliders are worth a try!

Seems like people are rushing for too many yards from those stats, but I might be wrong.

Re: CCPiper's Madden NFL 2011 User vs. CPU Slider Set

Well, it is the Colt's defense. Plus, I'm gonna lower my run blocking and the CPU's broken tackles. I just posted it in an update up above.
