For Me NBA 2k11 Increases Interest in the NBA and Basketball In General...

Does it do the same for you? I have actually now been more interested in the sport. I am reading stuff online about it.

Truth is, (American) football is far and away my favorite sport. Now, NBA 2k11 has me more interested in the game. I am also liking the Jordan and My Player mode much more than I thought I would. Plus, I am really exploring the depth of this game and loving it.

While not perfect, I can't say enough what this game has done for us as gamers.

Agreed. NBA 2k11 makes me want to follow the season.

Same for me.
It also made me subscribe to the NBA league pass (I'm in France, and it's impossible to see a Knicks game ) .
I bought a pair of sneakers too, and went back practicing !!! Love it !

I even try moves on the court when I play that I have seen in the game. I learned the triple-threat position from NBA 2k. Now, when in the post, I will also try some of the new post moves I have seen in the game.

This is the only game I have played that I actually get goose-bumps when I accomplish something - especially, when I play in the Jordan Mode.

I think I wrote about this in another thread before release but there definitely have been times where I've taken a few small things from video game land and implemented them into my real game. One of those examples was the "Jamal Crawford". I would just put that play on repeat in the Edit Player screen until I could get the steps right. There are some other similar instances.

And to answer the question at hand, the NBA and NBA2K11 feed into one another for me. They each get me interested for the other. I've always been an NBA guy though so that'd make sense. I'll definitely say in other genres (baseball, football, hockey) there is little doubt that playing the video games will make me much more interested in the real life happenings.

Football kinda sucks this year. Especially me being a Bears fan, it's even worst. This season to me is the most anticipated season since the 1995-1996 season. The Bulls 72 win year.

I was already big on NBA but I can still relate. Because thats exactly how I got into baseball....MLB The Show. Now.....I'm a full blown baseball fan.
