PS3 On line questions

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
1st question, how do you pull your goalie while play is going on?
I've seen opposing teams do it before, where during play, the goalie rushes towards the bench for the extra skater, without the game being paused.
Also, how do you make it so your line changes are manual?
I just can't seem to find it in the pregame menus.

Again, these are for on line play, and for PS3.

L1 and select pulls the goalie during game play...

Not sure if the options for changing lines apply to online as well but it should be under my NHL, then options, then game play options.

Just going off the top of my head, correct me if I'm wrong.

Remember that you can also pull your goalie between plays without pausing also. If the other team attempts to clear the puck and icing is called, you can press L1 and select after the whistle and you will see the " home/away goalie pulled" message like during the cutscenes before the play is reset and the teams square off on the faceoff. I use this alot this year when trailing by a goal or two.

Atleast I know this works for offline play.
