I just watched an old school game of Shaq on the Magic with Penny and just made me remember how sweet Penny was before his career got derailed, and it really made me start thinking about who I thought were some of Shaq's best "sidekicks" note I am using this term simply to refer to his teammates I obviously know on the Celtics in today's age that Rondo is obviously not Shaq's sidekick.

Here is the list of teammates starting from the beginning of his career and what I think they are ranked on the side......

3. Penny Hardaway
1. Kobe Bryant
5. Dwayne Wade
4. Steve Nash
2. LeBron James
6. Rajon Rondo (Will change in time but for now I guess he is 6th)

Well considering the fact that he only won a championship with LA and Miami,
1. Kobe

3. Lebron
4. Hardaway(went to the championship with him)
5. Nash

Nash and Lebron wasnt Shaq's sidekicks. And neither are any of The Celtics.

Kobe, Wade, then Penny.

I prefer Penny who was on equal footing w/ Shaq those days.

Agree! He and Kobe dominated the early 2000s.

One could argue that Kobe and Penny are the only people who have been Shaq's sidekicks. Shaq was more of a Pippen during his run with Miami, and ever since the Miami days he obviously hasn't been the main guy on a team anymore due to age and other factors. Still, if Wade can be assessed as a sidekick then the list would go:

1. Kobe
2. Wade
3. Penny

Kinda surprised that no loser has come in here to argue that Kobe wasn't Shaq's sidekick back in the day, lol. Operation Sports certainly holds much more educated basketball fans than Youtube I guess.

Wade and Kobe benefitted from Shaq's presence. Both were on mediocre teams until he "showed up".
Kobe was a rookie when Shaq joined. By the time they got knocked after the three-peat Kobe wasnt Robin anymore.
