Exclamation NYGiants4Natic Madden 11 Title Update #5 Custom Sliders

As all of you were, I was shocked that EA provided yet another update for this years game. The only downside is starting the slider process all over but if the game is better then who am I to complain.

This title update has brought back some defense to the game and with slider adjustments you should be able to get a good sim experience for what a video game should offer. I have read a lot of different slider threads and gather feedback that members post. Some good stuff from the community for sure. What we all must remember is that these sliders are just bases for you guys to tweak till you find what makes the game fun for you as well as realistic for you. I do not claim mine are perfect or should be used by all, but I do think you can use them to start your own journey to find what you like and what makes the game fun for you.

Here we go:


Game Options:

Team Specific Playbooks

Quarter length: 14 min (Or user preference)

Accelerated Clock: On

Accelerated Clock Run Off: 25 seconds

Auto Strafe: Off

Auto Sprint: Off

Injuries: Off (I control them based on real time injuries in NFL)

Game Speed: Very Slow (You can use what you feel makes game better)

Player Min Speed Threshold: 50 (Do not believe in changing this at all)

Fight for fumble: Off


Penalties: This is something that irks me about Madden and I hope Ian and company can at least improve it a bit. I know he said in a podcast that it is hard to replicate NFL penalties in a video game. But the fact that only certain ones get called is just horrible. That is why these are hard to modify and pointless really.

Offside: 100 (This never gets called even at 100 which really stinks)

False Start: 75 (I lowered these because O-lineman FS do get called)

Holding: 50 (Seems very sensitive either way)

Facemask: (Gets called to much at default)

Defensive Pass Interference: 100 (Does not work right)

Offensive Pass Interference: 100 (Does not work right)

KR/PR Interference: 50 (No need to change)

Clipping: 51 (Just like Holding explanation)

Int Grounding: 50 (Works fine)

Roughing the Passer: 50 (Broken Slider since raising it does not work)

Roughing the Kicker: 50 (Fine the way it is)



Player Skill Sliders:

Passing Sliders: 16

QB Accuracy: 16 (Good to great qb's do their thing and bad ones don't)

Pass Blocking: 18 (Key to not killing cpu blitz is less protection)

WR Catching: 28 (Tweaked the flat drops)


Rushing Sliders: 16

Broken Tackles: 10 (7) (Now more trucking with big backs)

Run Blocking: 19 (21) (Run game is fine for great run teams)

Fumbles: 33 (34) (To many when you lower this slider)


Pass Defense Slider: 15

Reaction Time: 38 (39) (Works perfect vs the cpu pass game)

Interception: 0 (Still get my picks but higher gets to many)

Pass Rushing: 39 (38) (CPU O-line will not be able to hold for long times)


Rush Defense Sliders: 16

Reaction Time: 0 (Human run defense is to good on anything higher)

Block Shedding: 0 (Look above)

Tackling: 62 (Broken tackles will be a thing of the past)


CPU Skill Sliders

Passing Sliders:

QB Accuracy: 52 (CPU throws less picks and better outs and deep throws)

Pass Blocking: 44 (52) (CPU O-line vs human defender engaged is weak)

WR Catching: 40 (Gets some drops to keep stats legit)


Rushing Sliders:

Broken Tackles: 51 (No longer does the CPU break tons of tackles)

Run Blocking: 41 (42) (CPU has issues running ball but this helps a bit)

Fumbles: 63 (64) (CPU fumbles to much if lowered)


Pass Defense Sliders:

Reaction Time: 88 (89) (This helps CPU not get shredded middle or flats)

Interceptions: 38 (Human makes mistakes they pay)

Pass Rushing: 38 (Puts pressure on human passing game)


Rush Defense Sliders:

Reaction Time: 10 (16) (CPU is over aggressive which leads to tackles for loss)

Block Shedding: 2 (Helps reduce the constant d-line in backfield)

Tackling: 42 (Helps the human break tackles)



Special Teams Sliders:

FG Power: 39 (40) (Makes FG in the ranges of 45-53)

FG Accuracy: 50 (Default works fine)

Punt Power: 35 (36) (Helps put punts in the 40-50 yards of distance)

Punt Accuracy: 40 (Default works fine)

Kickoff Power: 48 (46) (Longer field position means lower scores)


Auto Subs (Custom)

QB Out 45
QB In 50
RB Out 80
RB In 83
WR Sub Out 77
WR Sub In 82
FB/TE Sub Out 71
FB/TE Sub In 76
OL Sub Out 22
OL Sub In 27

DT Sub Out 79
DT Sub In 84
DE Sub Out 79

I do not use custom gameflow and I do not make changes to teams tendencies.

I hope you enjoy these and they help you find a good balance.

These feel challenging and not unrealistic.

about to plug theses in, im a lil concerned about the low cpu pass rush but ill see wat happens 1st

Played two games with these sliders the 2nd game was one of the best I've played yet. I kept all these sliders but tweeked the following:

Player Skill
WR Catching 30
Run Blocking 40

Rush Defense
Reaction Time 5
Block Shedding 5

My QB was horrible so if that continues I'll probably tweek the Passing Player Skill and/or the CPU pass defense, but I tend think it was more of function of his low rating and my bad play.

Side note my hat's off to Giants4Natic and anyone else who devotes time to these sliders this game seems very difficult to find a good balance

sorry also do you think your human run block sliders would work for someone that doesn't control the rb im really bad at running so i tend to let the cpu do the work will they run at your current settings if not what do you suggest thanks
