Anyone playing with the t wolves??

I'm running a association with the timberwolves they have talent Flynn at pg Johnson at sg Beasley at sf Love at pf and Darko at center.. The bench I know little about some of these players.. It looks like there 10 million under the cap.. I want to clear salary not sure if I should blow it up get rid of Brewer and other players off the bench.. Make a run at free agency and the draft.. This team as is hard to play with and win in association mode.. I want to keep it realistic but im by Chicago in Nwi my knowlege of the timberwolves is lil the old days JR rider etc this new team just bad.. I want to build a team but not sure what to do.. What the deal with Ricky Rubio contract I think they have the rights but he isn't coming right? Any info people have done or know about be great take care

The wolves are a young team, they have Kevin love who is a very good rebounder, Darko who is a very good shot blocker, Wesley Johnson who plays like Iggy, Jonny flynn young pg and beasley a very good slasher. I started an association with them, got the worst record and i got the no 1 pick for the draft. During the season, try getting draft picks from bad record teams. I got the 1st, 2nd and 15th overall picks in the draft and my team is doing pretty well now.

Re: Anyone playing with the t wolves??

I love playing as the wolves. After my first year, I had the 4th pick. I packaged the pick and brewer for the first pick to get Harrison barnes. Soy starting lineup is:

PG - Flynn
SG - Wes Johnson
SF - barnes
PF - beasley
C - love

they are a great young team and I intend to keep this core together for a long time. I'm halfway through my second season and am a half game behind the conference lead. Johnson is now a beast. He is a high flyer and a 3 pt specialist, so he will hit it from anywhere. I'm averaging about 10 assists with Flynn (mostly to Johnson). Just take your lumps early as it becomes worth it.

Great young team. They have more pieces than most bottom feeder teams. Played the clippers last night and beasley/love went off. 36 &12 for beasley. 28 & 16 for love. Keep those two along with Johnson and you'll have a good core. Rubio won't come to the NBA for another 2 yrs or so. He just signed a contact with fc Barcelona. With the lockout looming there's no telling when we'll see Pistol Pete Jr.

It is a pretty good team with good upside (but David Kahn should still lose his job for 2009-10's sake). You have a lot of wings and guards and subpar backup bigs, so maybe trade for a better backup big? Or you could grab Sean Williams and/or Chris Hunter from the FA pool, they're pretty good.

Re: Anyone playing with the t wolves??

The Wolves are great! in my 2nd year and managed to get Ginobili for Shannon Brown and my #2 overall pick which i drafted a 84ovr SG and '12 1st rnd. Plus i still have $9mil in cap space, but the young guys will get expensive within 1 year.

Flynn | Ginobili | Wes | Beasley | Love

I expect 10-15 game improvement from year 1 [26-56].
