EA SPORTS NCAA Football 12: Help us shape cannons

EA SPORTS reached out to the NCAA Football community today and is requesting information on teams with cannon traditions during their games.

To TSO:

“We are looking to find out what type of cannons a school uses at their home stadium (either the modern military style, or the classic “western” style), if the cannon is fired after every touchdown, and if the cannon is located inside the stadium (i.e. on the field).”

At Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, Smokey The Cannon is in the South endzone during homegames and sometimes taken to away games, depending on the rules. It is fired when the Longhorns score, at every kick off and at the end of each quarter.

West Virginia has the mountaineer that fires his rifle directly after the touchdown and after the PAT....it's not a cannon but it isnt in the game and it's along the lines of this thread

For those of you that will inevitably complain about where they placed your team's cannon, here is your chance to make sure they get it right.

BTW, depending on what else has been done to improve the game this year I have mixed reactions about adding something like cannons. I will wait until more information is released to decide though.
