QB Scrambling???

how do I get my AB to tuck the ball when he gets past the LOS, in past Madden games it was automatic but it seems like this year QB's always carry the ball in one hand.

Re: QB Scrambling???

Yes I have tried the RT with auto sprint on and off and nothing works, the QB still carries the ball awkwardly in one hand. The only time I've ever seen the QB tuck the ball is on a designed QB run. I've also looked at a bunch of videos and the QB still carries the ball the same way. So, is it even possible to tuck the ball with the QB and scramble???

Re: QB Scrambling???

The QB will not tuck and run until he a few feet past the LOS. If you hit RT he will pull the ball down and run. But he will not fully tuck and run until he clearly past the LOS.

Should I hold RT as he passes he LOS, or do I press it after he crosses. I've tried holding it from behind the line and the QB just ends up awkwardly lumbering past the line with the ball in his hand like a loaf of bread.

Yes hitting RT to sprint is fine. Just be sure to protect the ball and QB once you see a defender coming near you. Hit x button to slide to avoid getting hit.

Re: QB Scrambling???

It's still not working for me. If I press RB then the QB will put both arms around the ball and it slows him down. I want him to tuck the ball under his arm like an RB or WR running with it since whenever I scramble I get fumbles and I think its because the QB always carries the ball in one hand for me.

hold RT(R2) then after you cross the line of scrimmage hold down RB (R1) to protect the ball and bring it in before a hit.
