Incoming HB recruit 5'9 196lbs power back

In my dynasty I have the number one HB pretty much wrapped up. As it says he is a 5'9 196 pound power back. Yeah that just doesn't make sense. So I'm wondering what would be the least cheese thing to do: bulk him up to bout 215 when he gets on campus or turn him into a similarly ranked speed back. Thought?

Leave him as is. Oklahoma played a 166 lb HB last night vs Kansas. He was running over everybody.

Just slowly bulk him up.

Personally I'd increase his weight. It's not cheesy because actual weight doesn't matter at all in the game, it's purely aesthetic.

That's much better than the 6'5 225 lb speed back I'm currently recruiting haha

This

If you don't intend to leave him as is; changing his weight would have a lot less of an impact than changing his ratings.

Just tell yourself his weight was incorrectly listed during recruiting and he was always 215.

If you are role playing it, just change his weight and then redshirt him so he can earn the Freshman 15.

Thing is, if you look at high school kids and what they are listed at on Rivals or Scout during their senior year, they almost ALWAYS gain anywhere from 8-15 pounds once fall camp breaks.

If it were me, I'd leave his ratings alone and tell yourself that when you were recruiting him, he was 196 pounds but from the time he graduated HS to the start of his college career, he gained 15 pounds or so.

Perfectly feasible.

Chris Polk was 5'11" 190 (speed back) when he signed with Washington. As a Junior, he is now 5'11" 222 and is a definite power back. I think after his redshirt freshman season, he was listed at 214 pounds. He gained 24 pounds.

You can work with it from that angle and it'll make you feel better about it.

Biggest thing to remember - recruits grow a lot (weight wise) from the end of their senior year of HS to the beginning of their freshman seasons.
