I may be imagining this, but didn't early iterations of NCAA allow you to bribe with booster gifts?

I don't think you could bribe guys but I know players used to get in trouble and suspended for bad grades, and other off the field stuff.

Why didn't they put that back in the game. I used to love the situations you were put in if your all American QB got into a fight or something before a big game
