OS Community Rosters Official Thread (360)
Welcome back, everyone.
It's that time of year again, the time of anticipation of a new football season is finally upon us. The OS Community rosters team will be back again to help build the best rosters around. This is a pre thread before the game comes out, so we will be looking for the following in this thread ...
Plan A) Naming, minor equipment edits (Gloves, facemask, removing old school elbow pads). This way, we can have the rosters out closer to the release date. This will be everything done without equipment. That will be done when the names are done. Plan B) Take our time, fine tune the rosters, doing more detailed work. More equipment edits ... should take us a few extra days to complete. We will be accepting templates now. However to avoid us redoing most teams at a later date, please be as accurate as possible. When completing a teams template, please be as neat and accurate as possible. The more time we have to correct and make edits, the longer the process takes to complete!!!! The correct way for a template ... Virginia Tech Quarterback #3 Logan Thomas, 6-6, 262, r-JR #12 Trey Gresh, 6-1, 213, r-SO #6 Mark Leal, 6-0, 212, r-SO The incorrect way for a template ... 12 Trey Gresh 1 QB 6' 1" 213 r-So. Blacksburg, Va. Blacksburg 6 Mark Leal 1 QB 6' 0" 212 r-So. Greenacres, Fla. Atlantic Brian Rody - QB 6' 6" 221 r-Fr. Ashburn, Va. Stone Bridge T.J. Shaw - QB 6' 0" 170 r-Fr. Rocky Mount, Va. Franklin County 3 Logan Thomas 2 QB 6' 6" 262 r-Jr. Lynchburg, Va. Brookville Also, would like to welcome Paulbrownsrevenge (IIIwiseIII) to the OS Community Rosters team. In order for us to keep the rosters as accurate as possible and from doing 1,000 edits, please read through the threads. We do not need 75 templates of one team. Find the template here and if there is an edit that needs to be made, please state it in the thread. The faster we get the templates in, the more time we can edit. This will make the naming of the rosters process smoother, faster and more efficient for us. COMPLETED TEMPLATES (Note: If the team is on the list, please do not re-do the team. Find the other template, compare the two and post any needed corrections!!!) ALL TEAMS ARE FINISHED

Re: Official OS Community NCAA 2013 Pre Rosters Thread
For what it's worth I vote for Plan A. I've always been a fan of getting them out ASAP and fine tuning later. But, I won't be too upset about having to wait a few days either. Begger's can't be choosers, you know?
Also let us know when you get a pay pal set up. I would like to make a donation to you guys for putting in the hard work that the rest of us don't want to do.

Plan B, a few extra days won't hurt anybody. Rather have a roster set more thorough then a fast one with a lot of holes.

Re: Official OS Community NCAA 2013 Pre Rosters Thread
Alabama’s Roster
Offense: QB 10 AJ McCarron JR(RS) 6-4 215 Balanced Should be ranked about an 85. 85 on arm strength and accuracy. 80 awareness. A little bit of agility and elusiveness. He’s pretty good moving around in the pocket. Reminds me of Ken Dorsey. A very good player but not a great one. 12 Phillip Ely FR (RS) 6-1 187 Balanced From what I’ve heard and gathered, it is said that he is a McElroy clone. I’d rate him 71. Low arm strength. Average accuracy. The guy quarterbacked two state championship teams in Florida. 6 Blake Sims SO(RS) 6-0 190 Scrambler Could possibly be used in wildcat. He’s bounced from reciever to safety, to running back to quarterback, running back and probably will be QB in fall since Phillip Sims left. He’s a jack of all trades. Average throwing power (80) 70 accuracy. ?? Alex Morris FR 6-4 235 Balanced True freshman from Allen, Texas. Came on late in the recruiting scene. Only started one season. He attended one of the biggest schools in Texas and won a championship. Has a really good arm (88) and average accuracy (75). Looks to be a good athlete for his size. Kind of reminds me of Rohan Davey. RB 42 Eddie Lacy JR(RS) 6’ 220 Power In the times he’s had a chance and not been hurt (he stays hurt) Lacy has looked good. He’s a hard runner with exceptional speed. At times he can be a homerun threat. Early in his career he had problems fumbling. But looked better last year. An 85 rating seems right to me. He should have a high spin move rating. It’s his trademark. Reminds me of a bigger Bobby Humphrey. 45 Jawlston Fowler So(RS) 6-1 246 Power Power back with good vision and deceptive speed. Should be rated an 81. Is good at cutting back and breaking a long run. Does not catch the ball out of the backfield well. 4 TJ Yeldon FR 6-2 205 Balanced Impressed fans and coaches during the spring game.He should be an 80-81. With the injury problems Lacy has had, he may be the feature back by the end of the season.Nt as good as Richardson and Ingram, though. But he’s not bad. Can catch the ball. 1 Dee Hart FR(RS) 5-9 187 Speed Give him an 80. Has speed and moves and can catch it out of the backfield. H-Back 82 Harrison Jones So(RS) 6-4 248 Receiving Unproven player. Played situational last season. Brother Barrett plays for Tide. Given the success of this position since Saban took over; I’d give him a 75. 21 Brent Calloway FR(RS) 6-1 217 Balanced Recruited as a LB/RB. Has good ability. Strong. Decent hands. Give him defensive attributes. He’s a 75 as well. 84 Brian Vogler SO(RS) 6-7 252 Receiving Big tall and rangy. Good hands but needs to develop blocking skills. I’d give him a 74. WR 22 Christion Jones | 5-11, 175, SO Balanced I think Jones is in for a breakout season. Made some good catches in the spring game. Coaching staff seems to have a lot of faith in him. I’d give him an 84 and make him the best WR on the team. 83 Kevin Norwood | 6-2, 193, JR Possession Had a big showing the National Championship game, after Maze went down. Can make spectacular grabs. I’d give him an 80. 9 Amari Cooper | 6-1, 175, Fr., HS Speed Should push for time in the WR rotation. I’d give him a 75. 5 Chris Black | 5-11, 170, Fr., HS Speed Same as above. WR 7 Kenny Bell | 6-1, 175, Jr, RS Speed An explosive player. Weak route runner. Majority of his catches are fly patterns or screens. Fast and quick but lacks in route running department. An 80. 8 Eddie Williams 6-4 215 Fr Balanced Expected to come in and contribute. Has high athletic ability. Was also a top prospect at safety. I’d give him an 80. Is strong and lots of ability but low route running and awareness since he’s practically breaking into a new position. 2 DeAndrew White | 6-0, 181, So., RS Speed Not sure if his season maybe be over or not. Got shot at a nightclub. 80. 80 Marvin Shinn | 6-3, 193, Fr., RS Balanced Really didn’t do much in the spring. Cooper and Black seem to have all ready surpassed him. 75. 81 D. Woodson, Jr. | 6-1, 205, Fr., RS Possession Looked good blocking downfield. That asset alone will get him playing time in Saban’s offense. 76. TE 89 Michael Williams Sr(RS) 6-6 269 Blocking Steady contributor since he got here. Not fast or really that explosive but he does have decent hands and is an excellent blocker. 80. 85 Malcom Faciane So 6-5 259 Blocking Haven’t seen him do too much. Supposedly a good blocker. 73. LT 71 Cyrus Kouandjio | 6-6, 322, So Pass Got a lot of playing time early in the season. They wanted him to come in play immediately so Barret Jones could move to guard. But he got hurt. Was the best lineman coming out of high school. Looked good last season in limited action. I’d give him an 83. He’s the biggest question mark on arguably the best offensive line in all of college football. 63 Kellen Williams | 6-3, 305, So. RS Balanced Don’t know much about him. I’d give him a 74. The line lacks depth. LG 65 Chance Warmack | 6-3, 320, Sr, Run Block Worked his way into the lineup last season after Kouandjio was injured. Played very good. Was a pleasant surprise. 2nd team all conference type player. 85. 78 Chad Lindsay | 6-2, 287, So., RS Balanced Unproven. 71. 50 Alphonse Taylor | 6-6, 360, Fr., HS Run Block Recruited as a Nose Guard moved to offesne for lack of depth. 65. C 75 Barrett Jones | 6-5, 311, Sr. Balanced One of the better players in the country. Consensus All- American. Has played every position on the line. Great feet and awareness. Not the strongest. 95. 70 Ryan Kelly | 6-5, 281, Fr., RS Balanced Unproven. 67. RG 61 Anthony Steen | 6-3, 303, JR. Run Block Strongest player on the team. Improved greatly last season. 85. 68 Isaac Luatua | 6-2, 299, Fr. RS Run Block Unproven 70. RT 76 D.J. Fluker | 6-6, 335, JR. RS Pass Block After a slow start, he has really picked it up. Has good speed and agility for his size. Foot work has been his weakness. Has got better. Expected to be all conference. 88. 79 Austin Shepherd | 6-5, 321, Fr. RS Run Block Unproven. 70. Defense: LE 92 Damion Square | 6-3, 285, Sr Run Stopper Not a dominating force but a solid player. Decent power moves. Not much finesse. 81. 8 Jeoffrey Pagan | 6-4, 272, Sop. Run Stopper Played a lot last season. Has talent lacks awareness. Powerful player. 77. RE 90 Quinton Dial | 6-6, 294, Sr. Run Stopper Played al ot last season. Decent starter. Not great. Strong and big. 79. 49 Ed Stinson | 6-4, 279, Jr. 1V Pass Rusher Used in passing down. Can get after the passer. Fast for his size. Good jumper. 78. DT 54 Jesse Williams | 6-4, 319, Sr., Balanced Another player I expect to have a breakout season. 88. Strong, quick, great motor. 62 Brandon Ivory | 6-4, 308, So., RS Run Stop Good against the run. Above average talent. 78. 51 Wilson Love | 6-3, 276, Fr., RS Pass Rush A great motor. Some have comapered him to Nick Gentry. Will be used on passing downs. 76. 56 William Ming | 6-3, 283, Jr. Balanced Highly touted out of high school. Got lost in the shuffle. Unproven. 72. LOLB 42 Adrian Hubbard | 6-6, 237, So., RS Pass Rush Expected to be a big contributor. Good at rushing the passer. 81. 19 Jonathan Atchison | 6-3, 240, Jr., RS Balanced Unproven. 74. 25 Dillon Lee | 6-4, 220, Fr., HS Balanced Don’t know much on him. Some think he will contribute. Maybe a situational player. 75. MLB 33 Trey DePriest | 6-2, 242, So. Run Stop Played well last season. One of the few freshman to get significant playing time. 82. 2 Tana Patrick | 6-3, 236, Jr Balanced Highly touted. Lost in the shuffle. 77. MLB 35 Nico Johnson | 6-3, 245, Sr. Run Stop 88. Lots of experience. Overshadowed by all the other linebackers from the past few years. Very good player. High expectations. Its his time to shine. 32 C.J. Mosley | 6-2, 234, Jr Coverage 92. A weird player. Probably the best on the defense, even though he’s technically not a starter. Great in coverage. Plays primarily in nickel defense. ROLB 47 Xzavier Dickson | 6-3, 240, So, Balanced Unproven. Highly touted. Played special teams last year. 79. 42 Adrian Hubbard | 6-6, 237, So Pass Rush 7 Ryan Anderson | 6-3, 250, Fr., HS Balanced Expected to play. 77. 53 Anthony Orr | 6-4, 258, So., RS Balanced Unproven. 70. LCB 28 Dee Milliner | 6-1, 196, Jr. Coverage Lots of experience. Great speed and athletic ability.best corner on the team. 88. 9 Travell Dixon | 6-1, 200, Jr. Balanced JUCO guy. Expected to help immediately. 80. 16 Bradley Sylve | 5-11, 170, Fr. RS Balanced Fastest player on the team, Moved from receiver. Don’t expect much from him beyond special teams. 73. RCB 13 Deion Belue | 6-1, 170, Jr., JC Coverage Good spring. Another JUCO. JUCO guys seem to play a lot. Slotted as a starter. Great athlete. Not much strength. Not the best tackler. 82 10 John Fulton | 6-0, 187, Jr., 1V Balanced Lots of experience. Should play a lot. Good in man to man. 81. 11 Geno Smith Fr Coverage Unknown. Best corner coming out of high school. 75-77 range. 26 Jabriel Washington | 5-11, 165, Fr., RS Balanced Unknown. 72. SS 3 Vinnie Sunseri | 6-0, 217, So Hard Hitter 85. Surprise player from last year. Coaches son. Great competitor. I think it will be his breakout player this season as well. Seems to be a playmaker. Always at the right place at the right time. What he lacks in speed he make up in play recognition and awareness. Did seem a shade faster. 6 H. Clinton-Dix | 6-1, 203, So Hard Hitter 85. Big things expected from him in the nickel packages. ?? Landon Collins 6-1 220 81. Great athelete. Should play a lot in passing situation. One of the best players of signing class. FS 37 Robert Lester | 6-2, 210, Sr Coverage 91. Makes a lot of plays. All conference. 27 Nick Perry | 6-1, 205, Jr Balanced Unproven. 74. K 43 Cade Foster | 6-1, 216, Jr. Power 80. Strong leg. Bad accuracy. Kick-off man. 90 Jeremy Shelley | 5-10, 165, Sr Accuracy 79. Kicks the EP and short field goals. Not deadly accurate. Very little power. P 29 Cody Mandell | 6-4, 202, Jr Balanced 81. Seems to have improved. Kicking game a big weakness on the team. KR 28 Dee Milliner | 6-1, 196, So., 1V 22 Christion Jones | 5-11, 175, Fr., HS PR Jones and DeAndrew White

Re: Official OS Community NCAA 2013 Pre Rosters Thread
Oh Ccaarrssoonn, why are you in my head???
I was just thinking about getting one of these threads started, to get ready for the next iteration, setting expectations and opening up for suggestions. That being said; I think the best bet, before accepting rosters, is to wait for the newest teambuilder to be made available. This way we see the rosters as they come out of the box and it helps to minimize crazy changes to positions / numbers and you can also get the correct skin / face combo applied, using teambuilder. As far as a template, this is how I do mine (only the QB position of UCLAs roster from NCAA '12 is shown here, for brevity and it includes an example of all possible roster edits) : Position/# to the left (e.g. QB#7) is what was listed on the game roster out of the box. The information following that is who it should be or who it should be changed to as necessary. All skin / face changes must be done AFTER all other changes; ESPECIALLY if it’s a complete position change – save the player after any position / height / weight change first and then go back in to do skin / face. (LH) indicates left-handed Speed and Acceleration are determined by their 40 time and the formula found here*: Speed Adjustments UCLA Roster NCAA ‘12 Offense QB QB #12 – Richard Brehaut 6’2” 226 JR Alta Loma, CA / Light 6 / 4.82 Spd 75 Acc 79 QB #4 – Kevin Prince 6’2” 223 JR (RS) Los Angeles, CA / Light 5 / 4.53 Spd 87 Acc 92 QB #14 - #17 Brett Hundley 6’3” 210 FR Chandler, AZ / Medium 14 / 4.67 Spd 81 Acc 85 Overall 77 QB #13 – #52 LG Ben Wysocki (LH) 6’4” 296 FR Los Alamitos, CA / Light 3 / 5.00 Spd 69 Acc 75 Overall 73 With the 1st edit of the rosters, any overall ratings changes should be limited to position changes, true freshman or stuff that we know is just absolutely wrong. A formula that Bushido had for true Freshmen seemed to work pretty good : 5* - 81-84 4* - 76-80 High 3* - 71-75 Low 3* - 68-70 I'll also be revamping my speed / acc formula (DL should not be able to chase down mobile QBs the way that they do with the old formula applied). We need to agree upon a single source for 40 times and a single source for star ratings for the incoming true Freshmen. That's all for now.. ?
