Two peculiar player animations during collisions

While looking at the latest video with the commentary from Jim Nantz and Phil Simms http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRalX...1&feature=plcp I saw some weird animations during a couple of collisions. Some of it is hard to tell because of the low resolution of the video but I was able to go frame by frame to see the animations. The first starts around time marker 1:31 with Charles and Cassel. As they collide, Charles upper body seems to bend backwards. The second occurrence is around 2:00. Watch the right of the line of scrimmage as Gates (Chargers) seems to get his feet tangled with the offensive lineman.

I could be reaching with some of these animations but they looked very odd in Madden but they reminded more of what you see in FIFA. What do you see?

Yea they're odd but atleast they're not morphing through each other.

They looked odd to me because they looked physic based. Just like some of the collisions from FIFA.

I apologize for beating a dead horse, but I can not enjoy the animations in this game.

Those are the same lame animations you have seen for the past 6 years on PS3/XBOX 360 consoles.

My reaction to player animation being shown is not something that's been fully fixed yet. I'm gonna remain hopeful that the animations shown weren't fully tweaked in programming yet.

I noticed the lack of excitement in Nantz and Simms voices.
