Demo Anticipation Thread

Last year we found out the Demo date on the 12th(2nd Friday of August), and it was released the 23rd, exactly 3 weeks before release. We ought to be coming up on that day soon. If they follow the same formula, we will get the announcement this coming Friday, with it releasing on the 21st.

On to the more important part, what do you think they will include in the demo? In all likelihood a 3rd period final between Jersey and LA, but last year we also got to play some HUT. I'm holding out hope that maybe we can get a full game in this year.

Sorry if this is preemptive, but it's getting a little exciting closing in on release date!

My guess a a 3rd period and HUT again. Hopefully sliders will be unlocked that's the main thing I want to see in action.

I second this. I would love to see how sliders affect the game.

And I triple this. Really hope sliders will be unlocked too. Also hope we will be able to play HUT on All-Star level because last year we could only play it on Pro if I remember correctly. It's pretty hard to judge the AI improvements when playing on lower levels.

They usually try to incorporate their latest additions into the demo, I'm guessing some sort of GM connected features.

Hopefully it's not a playstation plus exclusive like some other games have been?

I'm expecting it'll be playing the 3rd period Devils vs Kings.

But ya...it'd be great if the game levels and sliders were unlocked. However, whatever...I'm just really looking forward to downloading it! It's always fun waiting for that loading bar to hit 100%, and to get your first look at a game you've been waiting weeks to play. My son and I always play the heck outta the demo.

I suspect those are good guesses. I can't wait to play it, as I've heard so many good things from someone lucky enough to get extensive time with the game.

Cant wait!!!! It looks like they took a majority of the last two years to build up for NHL 13. Everything looks amazing so far!
