Why editing needs to be added back in

I love the game for the most part. I love the additions to CCM. It is more immersive than ever. BUT, that immersion comes to a screeching halt at times when things like this happen:

I scouted and traded up to take a stud QB. Got to his first game and was bummed to find his shoulder pads were huge (like a LOT of players), he had a QB play wristband on his throwing wrist, and I hated his helmet/facemask and number.

I know some people don't care about this stuff. Fine. I don't care about MUT but I understand if it was taken away some people would be pissed, so to each his own.

For many of us, we really invest a lot into certain players. I like to take a few guys, make them "mine", customize them and play with them for seasons on end. I can't get into a guy if I hate his number or equipment. He will always look stupid or awkward to me.

I do have a strong feeling they are going to add it back in soon, based on convos I have had and seen on twitter with Josh and the EAMaddenNFL account. I really hope I am right. CCM, for me, is about building a team I like and having fun with my players. No editing really hampers that.

Re: Why editing needs to be added back in

It is important. Like the grass on the field, you see it all the time. Especially with large screen hdtvs, you can see all the details. And it gets annoying, say, if you draft a player on the Lions and he gets #20 and you can't change it! Or like you said, some odd equipment.

Even if they don't let you edit ratings, fine. Just let us edit the gear, numbers, and a players position. If I want to move a TE over to FB without signing a FB, I should be able to.

Signed.... I started a whole new CC just cuz my first 3 draft pics had goofy numbers ( RB 84 OVR #49,LB with #56 which is retired) wrong equipment for my taste ( DE with a standard double bar mask and a gut even though he weighted 256).

Really miss it more when u can't fix it. My lb also has that goofy revolution mask that looks like a kicker...

EA has said they will "look into it"

I hope now that they did the fantasy draft to please a lot of people, they will add editing to please a lot more people! How can a game be fully endorsed by the players association if you can't change some active players assigned retired numbers. That's sacred ground right there

I don't think EA will do this Fantasy draft was surprising enough, no way EA will put that much extra work in to madden. I learned to deal with it sucks I have to avoid drafting some one with the #7
