Week 5: Tennessee Titans (1-3) @ Minnesota Vikings (3-1)

So the Vikings get to go up against the 31st ranked defense in the league with the 28th best rushing offense. I am surprised their rushing isnt better than that with Chris Johnson.

Also the Vikings defense ranked 8th in the league, wtf????

Personally I am scared of this game, first game this year the Vikings are the Favorites and the offense has got to play better than last week.

Isn't Locker out for the game thanks to that shoulder injury? I don't see Hasselbeck getting it done. Too much time riding the bench while Locker took first team snaps.

And when the team relies on Johnson with how he's been playing (Save for one game) it's just not gonna end well.

I can see Ponder lighting up the Titans secondary.

Hasslebeck is better than Jake Locker at this point. But his ceiling for this team is around .500. Tennessee started him to get it out of the way.

Unless there is a change in defensive alignments and play calling, the Titans are done. Ponder will kill us.

But with Matt, I think we can keep it closer and maybe get extremely lucky near the end.

Vikings 31 - 21.

Locker aggravated the same shoulder he injured during the first week, which may require surgery after this season.

Who is Johnson? We haven't relied on him for a year, or so, now.

Only way the Titans will be able to keep the Vikings and Ponder from lighting them up is if they stop playing that silly, super, soft zone defense. He plays it like he's scared, scared of all those nasty deep passes; have some more faith in our players and that they can make plays! I get agitated thinking about it.

And get some pressure on their Quarterback!

The worst scoring defense of all time was the 1966 Giants who gave up 35.8 ppg.

Through the first 4 games, the Titans defense is averaging 37.8 ppg.

This will be a good game for Christian Ponder to connect with Jerome Simpson now that his suspension is over. Titans really don't have a chance of stopping that offense on the ground or through the air.

Ponder hasn't lit up anything this year. All of his passes go for typically no more than 10 yards down the field. Typically they are dump offs to Harvin or Rudolph. He just doesnt turn the ball over. I hope Musgrave lets Ponder chuck it a little bit this game.
