2013 League Pass: Details, hopes, dreams, fears, etc.

OK folks the prices for 2013 are out. Bad news first: for the TV package, the early bird price has gone up $10 from last year to $189. But, if you order LP from your TV provider, you still get the broadband and mobile access included at no additional cost. That is awesome and way better than what MLB or NFL offers.

So here are the options:

1. Everything included: TV/Broadband/Mobile: $189.00.

2. Broadband only (includes computer, tablets, Xbox -- for people without cable/satellite)

A. All 30 teams: $189.00.

B. Pick 5 teams to watch: $129.00

3. Mobile only (iphone & Android): $49.99 ($39.99 for Sprint customers)

Thank you basketball gods for inventing League Pass. I remember the dark ages when I was a kid in the early 90s and had to call a recording to get Knick scores.

I've got a question if anyone can answer it.

I'm looking to get cable/satellite tv. I've done everything online before but now I'd like to get tv. I was looking at the packages for dish and directv and they have these packages that include seemingly every regional sports channel. I'm thinking, if I have all the regional sports channels, do I even need League Pass? Can anyone shed light on that.

I wonder how long it will be before they implement some sort of Coaches Film version that can be available to the Fans? Sort of like how the NFL has the All 22 Film available to it's fans.

Those channels will be blocked out during games unless you have League Pass.

But those channels are good to have so you can watch pre-game and post-game shows produced by each channel.

For people considering International League Pass Premium (for the choice of commentary) its $270 USD. Not exactly very cheap, but if I want to watch the NBA in decent quality I really don't have another choice.
