Is homefield advantage overpowered?

I play with Florida State. I have no trouble beating good opponents (Clemson, Florida, Miami, Georgia) at home but when I'm on the road it seems like a completely different game.

Always if the game is close heading into the 4th quarter the CPU home team seems to get big boosts. I suddenly can't run anymore, get sacked on every PA pass and their DBs jump the routes and get picks.

Do you recommend to switch home-field advantage on or off?

Re: Is homefield advantage overpowered?

I actually haven't noticed home field advantage. When I was WVU in one of my online dynasties, I almost couldn't buy a win at home. I won most of my road games. Also when I play online, I'm always the road team because I can't stand the audio cut out that happens after every play.

I ultimately did, there are conversations about it it the slider forum.

The problem i was having, was being down say 21 points at half, and then after completely being out played for a half came out in the 2nd and made crazy come back wins. It just go t to be to much.

I like the HFA effects, but what it actually does to the momentum is either way over done, or not done properly.

I don't know if it is homefield or the hot/cold that over-influences a game.

Seems if the CPU gets off about 3 or 4 early completions, they are going to be on a tear the rest of the game.

If you get them to throw a few incompletions or an interception early they will just compound quickly and self destruct.

We turned HFA off in my OD and never looked back. Game plays better without it.

Re: Is homefield advantage overpowered?

Momentum swings in general on this game are strong. Regardless of venue, I can tell when the swing happens. I don't know if it's HFA or what.

Also, where crowd noise and controller vibration are impacted by a team's home toughness grade, I'm not sure if there's a difference in the actual gameplay. Meaning, my QB struggles in Tuscaloosa just as much as they do at a smaller school. I'm thinking of playing with it on vs teams with B and up grades and keeping it off until my team gets an A.

Be cool.
