What am I doing wrong???

I'm pretty much at my wits end when it comes to the left joystick...

I've invested many hours on this game and 2k13 both, played many of the game modes, and countless ranked matches only to realize that beating anyone of the dribbles is almost impossible (which leads to me never sucking in the defense for open looks)... If I do get an opportunity for fast breaks my oppenant weather it be CPU or human somehow is able to catch up and stop me in my tracks.. Even though I have turbo pressed down -_-

Is it my playstyle? I tend to play it slow and try to get good spacing , only time I turbo is fast breaks, I would think the game would reward you for spacing and playing cool headed. But apparently kids who turbo all day long and zig zag there *** off have no problem blowing by me with there clumsy play style.

Am I to jerk the joystick hard or something or keep it pressed at all times?? Cuz feather isn't helping at all, matter of fact I tend to get the ball intercepted more often when I keep it feathered..

Just need some advice.. Before I throw my xbox out the window -_- if there's some big secret , **** send me a pm or something... Cause I've just had it with this games rewarding of turbo/zone abusers and sloppy playmakers..


Sorry for the rant... Just comin home after work and playing this game for relaxation only ends up with me cussing up a storm and crying myself to sleep looool.

just play smart defense an dont throw bad passes or force them. if you just stay in front of them an play good defense then run your offense without turning the ball over you will be fine. just take your time on offense and break down there zone if there playing zone or run some pick an rolls if there doing man an try to get some easy points if he dont know how to defend it.

i run with the Trail Blazers only an im playing vs top tier teams breaking them down an getting easy wins online. every 2k my win percentage online is around 95% an i dont even run with the top tier teams (smart ball wins vs alot of these turbo/3 point jackers)

another tip! if there just doing run an gun style shooting three's an thats not your style, dont try to rush it an play there game. just stick to your game and stop there quick shots an take your time an get good shots on your offensive position.

I try to play it cool but it feels like my players aren't responsive to my joystick movement... Ex.offense = I'll use an ISO move and wait for my opponent to bite then I'll press the joystick in the opposite side of my oppenants move, only to find that he recovered before I could make it to the paint..

On defense it's so easy to predict where some ppl are passing to that I switch over to the one receiving the ball only to find out the ball barely went over my head or sometimes just seems it passed right thorough me...

But I appreciate the info and try to keep it cool at all times.

Type in Da_Czar in a youtube search bar and learn. I have some things on my page but Prez is teaching from a different angle that may help you out a lot - especially if you're running into zone users.

Dribble tutorials won't help you if you don't know the game.
