I've got a few PS+ games already purchased for the PS4, but nothing on the current (or future, really) roster of games has me wanting to buy a PS4 any time soon other than MLB 14.

I keep trying to tell myself that the Vita version will get me through until there are enough games I'm desperate for to lay down the cash...but I already know that won't work.

Absolutely.
There is no way I would be able to play the PS3 version(even if it was identical except for graphics)...once seeing it in action on the4.

I agree. I already have the PS4. But i really dont have much to play. Ill play Madden a few times a week. And every once in a while ill play Brokenfield 4. But when MLB does come out its all ill be playing. I bought my Ps3 for MLB 09.

Yes and no. Remote Play is the push for me to get a PS4.

However, The Show is the push for me to get it earlier than I really need it. I figure my birthday in June might just be that perfect time for myself, right in the summer and all.

Seeing how difficult it could be to get it when I want in a couple months, I already got PS4 myself a couple week ago... the imminent price drop is unlikely so that was another factor.

I have spent an hour playing Assassin's Creed IV on it.

I still end up picking up The Show on PS3 every day.

Why did I get PS4 in the first place??

Me too. I almost bought a PS4 last week. I'm fighting the urge to buy now..

Let me put it this way:

In March, 2011, Best Buy had a sale, where you could buy 2 games and a get a third one free. I bought Assassin's Creed Brotherhood with that sale.

I took the plastic off of it sometime during summer 2013... and I have about a 30% of the game complete. This is still my first playthrough mind you. It's not like I've already beat the game at another time.

MLB The Show is absolutely 100% the ONLY reason I'm buying a PS4.
