Thanks for the video. You said that when the bench players come in we should lock them down. So you mean we should play tight or smother every bench player? What should my match ups and points of emphasis look like?

For instance I was playing Portlands bench. I locked down the paint and played tight on their perimeter players and smothered their inside players.

cool I never thought about play tight on big guys. I figured you should play gap on them to make them shoot jump shoots but a lot of big guys are not that good at driving so even if you play up on them most are not going to be trying to beat you off the dripple and I didn't think about how that could effect rebounding. Do you know how POE work? Or have any tips for that? I don't really see in difference with the way my guys play d when I change the d on POE.

Playing tight on bigs mean less to no help defense.

I'll say I had mixed results my first outing really using defensive settings in-game to play an opponent.

I played the Trailblazers and followed the logic of the OP and had pretty bad results.

Though I chalk it up more to user issues then anything else.

I contained Aldridge well enough but Matthews, Batum and Lillard abused me. Shooting sky high percentages. I also struggled against the bench players oddly enough.

But again, i chalk it up more to me then anything else.

I make computer bigs play tight D yes, but when the penetration comes I switched to bigs manually to offer my own help defense. Is the only way to survive for me lol If i don't do it this way I have NO SHOT in keeping AI from scoring 25+ per quarter.

But no one is wrong here, defensive style is really based on user's preference to guard ON BALL or OFF BALL. I am an 80% off ball defender so this is the way i have to Gameplan. To all you on ball defenders out there, you got way bigger balls than me haha Hall of Fame SIM murders me if i play on ball defense the entire possession....
