How good (or bad) are you?

I fear that I'm entering slider/difficulty limbo in this game. Pro has become too easy for me and I'm not sure I'll ever win on World Class. I'm thinking I might be moving towards World Class with some slider adjustments but I wanted to see where everyone is on this game in regards to difficulty settings. What level are you guys playing on, and do you use sliders?

Move to WC and use sliders. I use drunken ferret's sliders.
When you start, lower cpu marking to 20. After about 50 games, move it to 30.....etc,etc.

Everyone told me to continue to play and continue to grow. It's true. I suggest to move to WC and no higher. Tweak sliders as needed.

Re: How good (or bad) are you?

I play on legendary default and i am able to win enough matches.

started out on pro/default, i couldnt win a single match on WC, so I cut down cpu accuracy sliders to 49 , positioning/marking sliders to 49 and pass/shot errors to 52 or 53. I played a lot of games(over 300 easily) on these settings before i decided to play on WC default again and then it was all too easy.

Once you master WC(i.e scoring 6+ goals in a game), you ll find comfort in legendary.

some tips:
- do the drills.skill challenges, nothing helps your shooting/ball control/passing/defending/movement better than these drills.

-have patience and time everything incluing runs, you dont need more possession to win, just more goals. so try to hit a shot that you think will be a sure shot goal on lower difficulty levels. you dont want to waste your chances, cause on legendary, players morale goes down very fast if they are taking boneheaded shots lo and later they ll even miss the close open goals.

-play according to your formation( the best way to hold the cpu). DO NOT LOSE YOUR SHAPE. DO NOT GO FOR TACKLES. the only way to tackle is to run in line of the ball and take it from the dribbler instead of tackle. it seems as cpu reads each and every tackle you attempt on legendary. So you ll have to play quite a few games and then you ll start seeing the line of ball very clearly.

- once again TIMING is the key to FIFA.

Re: How good (or bad) are you?

Legendary with sliders. Ive played fifa though for probably 8 years, idk, been forever.

I used to play online and would always be around 80-15-15 but stopped playing online cause never liked playing barca/madrid every time. Dont like FUT but last year played a little and was 32-6-3 but dont care for online crap anymore.

Now i use sliders to make the game as realistic and impossible as I can

But how good you are means nothing if you dont have fun. If you arent good or think you are and play on pro and have a blast...thats where its at.

Re: How good (or bad) are you?

It’s an interesting one for me.

Like Onlyfutbol86 I’ve been playing FIFA for ages! But it’s only until recently that I really got into the game. Before, I’d just play quick matches etc. Nothing serious. And I always played on Professional as that was tough enough for me.
But in ’15 I upped it to World Class and I was still winning, so I upped it again to Legendary and it was fairly easy, added sliders and I’m still winning.

It’s ok. But I think EA need to toughen the difficulty up a bit.

Are you playing on manual or assisted?

Re: How good (or bad) are you?

I'm sort of in the same boat as the OP. Pro is too easy, but WC is a struggle when I don't adjust the sliders. I can win some games but usually I get out shot so badly that it feels flukey when I do win. I do draw a lot of penalties from the AI because its so insane on challenges though. I can maintain really high possession rates, and if I focus on defense I can do just fine there too. One of the worst parts is it feels like if I wanted I could turn every game into a 0-0 draw.

My frustration is being unable to get anything in the final 3rd. The moment any defender gets anywhere near my players its an immediate perfect tackle. Likewise they are always in perfect position to get every through ball.

I keep thinking there's one or two techniques that I'm missing that will make me successful, some skill move or something that everyone knows that I don't. I've played a lot of FIFA and I do hear people talking about how its 'too easy' but apparently I'm missing something.

(Edit to add I mostly play Manager Career mode, and my overall team quality is slightly above average for Prem)

Right on! I shake my head reading posts telling everyone to play on high difficulty levels, practice, and learn to get better. It's a game! Play to have fun! I'm an older gamer, and I don't care to improve my video gaming skills, I play to enjoy the game. So, I set the difficulty at a level that provides that, then make adjustments as needed as I naturally improve to keep it fun.
