benefits of owning a team

i was wondering why it costs 5000 rp owning a team, but i cant see if there is an aditional benefit

The whole team. I'm not sure but perhaps an officer is also able to do that. As an owner you must promote the Player though

It costs RP to make a team because they said they don't want pointless junk teams being constantly created.

Once you have used the team perk for 1 day, you can create another team, finish goal and have another perk... i think the 5000 is to avoid that.

Not everyone uses real money to buy cards and sell them for RP, so 5000 is quite a lot for us casual players who dont use money.
