NBA 2K16 March 9th Play & Gameplan Update with Video

What's happening family!

Play update went live this morning. This was a hefty update but only 1 team received an entirely new playbook.

We added the Thunder's new plays.

The biggest thing I tried to do on the play side was clean up as many on-ball screens as possible. As some of you know the location the man setting the screen chooses isn't always exact this year.

I found a work around but it's far from perfect. Anyway I went back through as many plays as I could touch and added this work around so 75% of the IN PLAY on ball screens he should give a better attempt. This includes plays where the on-ball screen is not the main action.

If you have used the newer playbooks and noticed a difference in on-ball screens that is what I did for the other plays. Super time consuming but it feels better in the plays that were touched.

Also lots of clean up in some freelances as I went through looking for screen adjustments.

SO
Swing, Triangle, Warriors, Flow, Dallas, Hawks, all 3out variations and 4 out, and all the early offense have had some adjustments and a ton of plays have been adjusted as well. Far to many to name by name but no, every single action in the game was not touched for obvious reasons.

Gameplan updates

Cavaliers, Celtics, Trailblazers, Mavericks, Knicks, Grizzlies, Magic 95, Thunder, Clippers, Hornets, Nets,

All received gameplan updates.

This is probably the last major play update for the year. Many more plays and actions and freelances were touched and cleaned and refined.

Oh yeah and for the plays touched you should see the AI use the hand-offs slightly better as well.

Play execution, flow, and overall usefulness is one of the areas in 2k16 that was an innovation. The hard work shows.

Thanks Czar. It is greatly appreciated.

One issue though. I noticed that the Hawks freelance seems glitched whenever i turn the playart off. Last year it was great to play without play art, but this year the freelance wont trigger certain actions with playart off. Even when i am standing in the proper trigger spots. You have done a great job with my Hawks freestyle, and i rarely have to call plays. I only wish i could use the full arsenal without playart.
