Forza Horizon 3 Graphics

First, they are awesome.

Second, just curious, but the graphics in Forza Horizon 3 look really, really good. Does it seem to anyone else that the graphics in Forza Horizon 3 are better than the ones Forza 6?

Thanks

Re: Forza Horizon 3 Graphics

Totally agree.

Played about an hour of the demo last night and was blown away. Really looking forward to the full product and the HDR unlock.

Although not the thread for it, I do generally agree with his statement.

Re: Forza Horizon 3 Graphics

The whole art design for Forza 3 is outstanding. I live in Australia and work in one of the locations listed on the map and have traveled to many of the others so I'm very interested to see how that looks. What they have got spot on is the colour palette. The mountains in the distance and the valleys are so well done as Australia has kind of muted, harsher looking scenery.

I live way down in the South eastern state of Victoria which is home of the Twelve Apostles rock formations and the Yarra valley (pronounced yeh-rah not yar-rar) and Victoria is completely different in look and scenery to the tropical locales of Queensland which feature heavily in the demo and the game. I think the main City in the game is Gold Coast which is a tourist city and not one of the capital cities. It is however iconic for an Australian city due to its beachfront high rise apartment blocks.

The rich colours of the tropical vistas are again so well done in the demo and they blend incredibly well with the dulled down colours of the expansive flats. The reds and browns are spot on. Whereas somewhere like England pops with natural, gentle colors in spring and summer, Australian colours largely don't pop, except for the tropical areas. Australia is more ashy gray/brown/green and the red is dusty just like in the game. Also, Australia doesn't suffer massive changes from season to season. The scenery is fairly consistent year through though to those of us born here it is very noticeable, it takes living in other countries that do experience huge seasonal changes to realise the consistency of the Australian scenery so the game isn't missing out from that perspective too.

The art design of the demo captures very well the living diversity of the country.

Game is out today. Crikey, will give it a burl.
