Play Adjustments

Do any of you call plays "as is"? I notice a lot of "schemes" makes alot of adjustments on offense and defense. I do not mean audibles when I say adjustments. I am talking about route combinations as such. It is nothing wrong with it but I rarely see playbooks and/or plays great "as is".

I do this on defense a lot. I'll call a zone blitz then adjust who is blitzing and what zones guys are playing. Really effective against other users and confuses the cpu sometimes

If you really want to continue to improve your game, pre snap adjustments can be a means to do that. I highly suggest you go through the skills trainer, where you will find an entire module dedicated to this. Being that this is the first Madden I've purchased since 12, that's what I did since so much has changed.

On offense, I usually make blocking adjustments and have a hot route called in case of a blitz. I will also use receiver hot routes to clear out an area, regarding opening up receivers I want to get the ball to, based off my pre snap read.

Defensively, I like to shade inside quite a bit when in man coverage. I also find that using the "defend the sticks" adjustment can be huge on 3rd down. Having said that, ya better be able to get some pressure on the QB. Spotlight receiver can also be utilized and works especially well when in man cover 1 robber.
