What is main reason QB won't pass on screens?

I am running into situations where the CPU QB will not pass on screen plays. Gets sacked every time. Is there a main cause for this? QB has high Awareness and set to Ideal for forcing pass.

Then something is wrong...every time the QB takes a sack...and I mean everytime.

I have found that when using the screen pass, when QB is under the center, It very rarely ever works. But screens based out of the shotgun work pretty well. Unless I am going to throw the ball myself, I never use a screen with QB under center.

it remains one of my most successful plays, whether i'm under C or in shotgun. will get sacked on it once every few seasons but it's normally my own fault.

The main reasons I see the cpu not throwing the screen, is,
when the blocks don't setup properly and the defenders are too close in proximity.
I do recall the CPU having successful screen passes on All-Madden difficulty though, mainly due to the awesome blocking the cpu gets on that difficulty.

They also get sacked a lot if there is a blitz coming.
