Better for offseason

I just finished the 2018 season on MLB17 a couple of weeks ago. It’s a carryover franchise I started on MLB16. My question is would I be better off doing my offseason on 17 or carrying over to 18 to do it. I have 18 but have just been playing around with it trying to get the feel of the game. Thank you

if you bring it over to '18 you will get the proper '18 schedule. also doing the off season in '18 is much easier to follow and understand than it was in '17.

Agree with this and will add that you will also get the new retirement logic in '18 as well.

I would vote to do your offseason in '18

I sure wish there was improved retirement logic in MLB16. I had Molina and Peralta retire after my first season.

Season needs to take place in MLBTS 18 in order for new retirement logic to take full effect. At least that’s what it looks like from some testing I did.

Regardless, you should use 2018 for the off-season. It’s the only thing that’s different in franchise mode than 16 or 17.
