I was going to get it anyways but it's great to see this on GwG on Xbox Live.

That said, with there being 8 stadiums I want to create 8 different and customized teams with players/teams from past arcade/sim-like games such as Bases Loaded (players like Norkus and Paste come to mind) and Baseball Stars (American Dreams, Ninja Black Sox, etc) with some 1980s RBI Baseball thrown in for good measure. Basically just a mish-mash of a bunch of older games but customized down to a tee. The customization options should allow me to do this and place them all in the same league with their own home stadiums and play through it, right?

That should be possible. Here is the full list of customization options in the game according to a post from the devs a while back.

Leagues

• Number of conferences (none/2)
• Number of divisions (none/2 – 8)
• Total teams in league (4 – 32)
• League, conference & division names

• Innings per game (1 – 9)
• Total games (2 – 200)
• Playoff bracket size (2/4/8/16)

Xbox Games with Gold for May Revealed

The lineup of games available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers in May 2018 has been revealed.
The following titles we be available for download for Xbox Live Gold members next month:

• Super Mega Baseball 2 - May 1-31 (Xbox One)

Nice move by MS. Would like Sony to follow up, although I doubt they will because they don't have as much of a reason to offer it for "free".

This likely means that regardless of how well SMB2 does, MetalHead is going to get paid pretty well by MS for this. So it's good to see an indie sports dev being successful.

Sony offered last years Super Mega Baseball for free at launch for PSN Plus users.
