So much for Bundesliga being one of those final two league announcements.

But why terminate the deal prematurely? Maybe it has something to do with the CL license? I honestly have no clue.

My only guess is that EA is going all out with the Bundesliga since they already have the license in the past. There may have been an early termination clause in the contract that allowed BVB to go to a higher bidder, but that's only speculation on my part.

I mean, I can't imagine EA's shiny new CL license with a bunch of random generic teams...

Very strange move. I guess there is just too much exposure to be had if your club is strongly featured in FIFA.

Sucks for the devs who put all that work in building Signal Iduna only to have it for a year.

Yep, not to mention all of the chants and music to go along with it as well as the tunnel/locker room scenes.

Exclusive licensing is going to be the death of these 2 games. I feel 1 of the 2, or maybe even both of the leagues that PES has yet to reveal is going to be an exclusive and it will have a massive effect on FIFA. (My guess would be Serie A) Hopefully I'm wrong because I do enjoy both games, but at the end of the day, the gamers are the ones who suffer because of it.

Yeah it definitely sucks as a consumer but it will be tricky for PES to license the entire Serie A because Juve has an exclusive deal with EA.
