Is PS Now Garbage, or is it my internet?

Hey, gang, quick question.

Earlier this month, we got Ting, fiber internet that’s really good and consistent in my experience. I haven’t had any problems with it until now, when trying to play games via PS Now.

Holy hell, the lag makes each game unplayable. It’ll be steady for a few seconds before completely going downhill. I checked my internet speed (download) and it sits at a firm 25-30 mps. But on the PSN, it’s at 3-7?? Even at 1:00 in the morning with nobody on it (it was a test, I swear )

Is it my internet, or the PSN servers? I’ve heard that the latter can be downright sketchy at times, but I’m open to the idea of internet instability.

Is your PlayStation hardlined with Ethernet or connected via WiFi?

It’s Wifi and I discovered that we only have 2.4 KB wifi, so I’ll be cancelling PS Now ASAP

I tried the 7 or 10 day trial with it sometime last year to finally play Red Dead Redemption. The game was rediculously marked up at the time. Anyway, We have Cox Cables 50 Mbps package and have never had an issue with anything streaming wise. PS Now now was bad. I'd have maybe 10 min of solid great quality, then it would dip and lag and get pixilated. It was a chore to finish the game. This was wifi, btw.

I tried it for a month and it was garbage for me, and I have a wired connection.

Really laggy, and the controller input seemed to be dodgy for me trying to play Arkham Origins. Better off sticking with your PS3, IMO.

Same here. I usually do Wireless connection but when trying out PS Now it was very bad with wireless connection. So I hard wired in with little to no improvement.

Such a shame.

In going from Xbox to PS, I can safely say that the Xbox’s system worked almost flawlessly. Game Pass is $10 cheaper, and you can just download the games. That’s how I fell in love with the Mass Effect series.

Oh well. It sucks because I wanted to finish Red Dead before RDR 2 comes out.

This is why I'm glad that I've kept all my old systems and games.
