Are you going to be an owner? Are you going to be the coach? If you choose coach, do you keep the existing coach or do you create your own?

I normally do coach and create my own. Owner mode requires more work than I wanna do in Madden. Just wanna play and make roster moves. Though I did do owner mode in 17 so I could relocate a team and such to see what it was like.

In years past I would just play the Bears games and that’s it, but my seasons wouldn’t ever last long enough. So last year I decided I would play their game, then any other games that interested me. I would always try to play the night games as well. I will do the same this year I think.

Usually play as an owner. But if I really like the head coach I’ll play as them. Especially guys who are just getting into their HC career like Nagy, Reich, Patricia. Especially this year with M19 focusing on having you always see your coach/player in CFM.

Also playing as the coach instead of Owner means your HC won’t randomly retire, only to unretire the following year. Happened to me in M18 once when I had Dan Quinn retire for no reason one season, only to show up in the coaching free agents the next year.

Always, owner, always Cowboys. I enjoy the financial strategy of it all, and fixing my Cowboys constant salary cap issues.

There's more room this year than usual, but there's also a lot of dead money and a need to find a go-to WR and TE. I also have to factor in the financials of Dak and Zeke, who will come off their rookie contracts soon and be looking for more money, who will likely combine for in the range of $10m-15m more than current.

Once I resolve general cap issues, I stockpile funds so I can afford signing bonuses and stadium upgrades as things start to deteriorate.

I was lucky to stockpile in Madden 17. It had a glitch when I resigned Dak and it was costing me like $7m a week lol. Luckily it was only like 8 games, then I had to re-sign him again at the end of the season.
