The way Madden works it you pay the same cap penalty whether you cut or trade him so you might as well try to get some value back for him

From a die hard ravens fan:

He will start every game this season pending injury, Jackson is not ready because he is not accurate enough in pocket( check stats in preseason) ..Flacco is playing at a high level right now per camp reports, with that being said I think unless he wins the bowl this year, Decosta will release him or trade him in off-season and jackson will be the QB next year.

And I can defend the terrible contract, he just won the super bowl,
what options do u have ,
resign ( to a long term mega deal)
or let him test free agency and pick up some stop gap trash,
ozzie resigned him,
flacco had the leverage,
it will work itself out in the end a la after this year. Very easy work unlike the cousins situation in DC

In madden, there is no doubt about moving on from Flacco. In real life he is still a servicable nfl caliber Qb. Lamar Jackson is maybe a future NFL starter if he progresses significantly. He reminds me more of cordell stewart than michael vick but faster with less accuracy at this point

Called this months ago lol injury was the reason lamar took over for Flacco and now look hahaha, Flacco will be traded in offseason to a QB needy team such as jacksonville or tampa like the alex smith deal, if not then he will be cut and enter free agency,
