Idiots who just hang on to the puck.

Played a few games now where the opponent online takes a lead and just plays keep away in their own end for the rest of the game. Any strategies to stop these idiots who do that?

It doesn't really answer your question, but this is exactly why I don't play online. Exception being people that I know.

Yep this! Had this happen to me like a couple times, so I was like screw it and stuck to offline play ever since.

Re: Idiots who just hang on to the puck.

I've played a lot of games online and most are ok. I can live with the cheese goals because I feel if you play good defense you can mitigate it. And I do cheese goals myself but again if you play good defense you can stop it. BUT idiots who just play stupid and just play keep away in their own end is pathetic.

Im just wondering if there's a strategy to force more of my guys to forecheck more.

Overall the online is great except for a few morons.

Put your 3rd or 4th line guys out there and yardsale the guy into the boards for a penalty. Then get control of the faceoff and work the guy because apparently he sucks if he is not confident enough to attack.

*Disclaimer* I don't play 1v1 for this reason. I do play the team play in EASHL and sometimes you can find a good group of players on there but even that can be hit n miss sometimes.
