Did MLB 18 meet your expectations?

Or do you wish you got more from it?

Re: Did MLB 18 meet your expectations?

There hasnt been a Show in the last 8 years where , if it were the last Show ever made, I couldn't enjoy for 5 or 6 years if I had to. Obviously I would have rather had season mode but even that, for me, is like complaining my cleanup hitter doesnt bunt.

Re: Did MLB 18 meet your expectations?

In terms of fun and enjoyment, then yes MLB '18 met my expectations. My expectations with any game I buy is that it will provide me with enough fun, enjoyment, and entertainment that I feel as though I got my money's worth, and MLB '18 does/did that.

In terms of having all the features and such that I wish to have in a baseball game, then no. There are things on my personal list that I hope one day find there way into the MLBTS series.

But I don't know that any game will ever leave me not feeling that I wish it had more, or did something different.

Re: Did MLB 18 meet your expectations?

Personally, im mainly a Franchise mode player.

In Terms of Gameplay, some things were great. But i feel that

I never made many errors when fielding.
Bunting was terrible
Pitching( even on HOF) was too easy. And that isnt because i am great at all.
Hitting- on All Star - was too easy i hit many home runs.
Too many slider adjustments were needed.

in past MLB the show games, I felt players had more individuality- I saw more errors- Fielding/Throwing/ Bunting was better , I used to always play All Star Plus hitting/HOF pitching and found such a great game balance with not many slider adjustments.

Also as a Franchise player, i didn't see any injuries in game

Re: Did MLB 18 meet your expectations?

My expectations weren't very high, but no, it still didn't meet them.

I didn't expect a whole lot of progress, but off the field it went backwards rather than even just staying still. It improved on the field, offline at least, but in pretty much every other regard I was disappointed with either the lack of progress, or outright regression.

It was still enjoyable though because it's baseball and frankly they were building off a pretty solid base. But I'm hoping for better this year

Re: Did MLB 18 meet your expectations?

Gameplay wise -> I was blown away, it plays amazing offline

Season mode -> Really disappointed in SDS and not trusting of them anymore

Rtts -> Love the changes made, hope they continue the same progress

Re: Did MLB 18 meet your expectations?

to me for the most part, it has felt the same as previous versions, except Power became the Meta and anyone without power were useless.

there were times that really irked me, like low hits over second baseman head and your cursor would be on the second baseman but you couldnt do anything. you were basically stuck until you switched off and onto a outfielder to field.

Animations are still ok(but not great).

I personally just do not really like how they are focusing so much on DD(i know its their money maker) and leaving other modes relatively the same with minimal changes.

wait, there's no season mode? Where have I been? It was in 17 though right? That's the last one I had.
