Your Greatest Single Game Performance?

I love to just pick up and play random games. Last night I fired up Rockies @ DBacks, and had a player put in the single greatest all around performance I've had in the show.

I'm a decent player, I win maybe 60% of my games, which means, to me, I've got the difficulty level set just fine for my skill set. I state that upfront, as to knock down any GIT GUD TURN UP DIFFICULTY posts.

Anyway.

Last night, Zack Grienke turned in the single greatest all around performance I've ever had in The Show.

He pitched a complete game. 3 hits, 2 walks, 16 K's, in a 2-0 win.

What makes the 2-0 win even sweeter?

Grienke was 3-3 with 2 RBI - two singles, a GROUND RULE DOUBLE that one-hopped over the fence, and a walk.

He totally shut down the Rockies, then took it upon himself to drive in the runs to secure his win.

I've had some good games before, but his performance blew me away.

So far this year, Nelson Cruz going 4 for 5 with 3 doubles, a HR, and 5 RBI on Opening Day.

Last year, breaking up a no-hitter in the bottom of the 9th, with 2 outs and 2 strikes... Yeah, it was that kind of year lol.

I had Eric Thames on the Tigers on my chise last year. He had one game with two grandslams and another game where he hit for the cycle.

Randy Johnson
Perfect Game
18 Ks

.. wasn't on HOF pitching difficulty though, so it feels a tad cheap.

maybe the K's , not the perfecto . its hard enough to toss one on all-star , or even veteran

Ditto.

I've never tossed a no-hitter. I've had a few CG 1-hitters and a handful of 2-hitters.

I'm impressed with a perfect game on damn near any level.

A few years ago. ALDS. White Sox (me) vs Yankees. José Contreras gave up a lead off triple against Brett Gardner of the Yanks. Retired the next 27 in order. I won 1-0.

The following year Archie Bradley tossed a no-no for me. It was in AA so I don’t get too hyped about it.
