Which NCAA version had the best defense? PS3/360

What are the community’s thoughts on which version played the best defense, and WHY?

I realize every version needs some slider adjustment, but I mean the best defense without excessive slider changes. Defense on 2014 seems broken to me, I am hoping there is a better version. This is for the PS3/360 era consoles, although I would be happy to hear thoughts on PS2 versions too.

Sure. I am not asking that. I am asking what game plays the best defense of the games released during the PS3/360 era. Basically, after the PS2 versions.

It's why I went back to '12 from '14. '12 is probably my GOAT. I love the defense on '12 that most others seem to hate.

I always thought 12 was way too NFL like.

Maybe I'm just used to so much NFL talent in the SEC
The NFL Development League

In all seriousness, I do find it really hard to replicate the D that I see on Saturdays on '14. '14 is like BIG 12 style for every conference, out of the box. Shootout city. You can kind of tweak sliders to get that middle range, but it was hard to find really good D, even with fatigue off. That's what made me go to default, which really made the D show up once they were about a 95 or higher.

But when I discovered I could get even better results on '12 with fatigue on - it was pretty much over for me and '14. I would have to imagine it would be easier to tweak '12 and open up the offense than it is to try and create D on '14.

Yeah I've gone really far to create good defense on 14

Probably '14 for me just because I've spent the most time on it. Never did create defensive playbooks from scratch and allow 12 total points in a dynasty mode season in any other version LOL. Can't remember if you could even create books in '12.
