The Show Ads

I know it's just cosmetic but is anyone else a bit annoyed with the mass amount of The Show 20, Everybody Loves the Show & The Show ads scattered all over stadiums. I know they are acquiring realistic ads but how about a few fake ads to fill the gaps. Just a thought

Yes yes yes not really annoying but it does break the immersion a bit. Fake ads would be preferable to being flooded with ads for a game I've already purchased.

Re: The Show Ads

I dont understand who they're advertising to. I already have the game. chances are their not-so subtle subliminals are not going to persuade me to go right back out and buy a second copy. but at least those aren't Diamond Dynasty adverts

I hate when games have their own logo plastered everywhere, it's not like I don't know what game I'm playing and if I was watching a stream or Youtube video, I'd still know what I clicked on to begin with.

Love seeing the Show 20 ads anywhere past year one. Also, can't stand playing in San Diego with those massive ads behind home plate.

That's my current team so I get to see those often and don't forget the huge neon sign in center field.

Re: The Show Ads

It is quite unsightly, but it’s brought up every year. And the reason behind it is plain as day.

These ads aren’t for us. It’s for anyone that may see a glimpse of the game somewhere and be enticed to say “what is that?” Because, believe it or not, not everyone plays video games or owns a PlayStation.

If they can increase brand awareness in any manner, they will always do it.

maybe they'd get as much bang for their buck if they put up a billboard in a Iowan cornfield. if they're hoping to raise brand awareness to someone who doesn't even play video games, they arent going to sell a lot of copies to them. maybe a few. maybe Sony's looking for a new consumer base. people who dont play video games, or even own consoles lol

probably the best they can hope for is someone buying the Show as a birthday/Christmas gift. or to someone who likes really unique drink coasters.
