House Rules for Kicking FG's?

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make Field Goal kicking more difficult/ratings based in Franchise?

I tried Super Simming all FG's as a user, but the CPU will go off script at times and attempt a fake FG randomly.

Happened to me trying to go up by 2 scores while in the RedZone, and as I was watching it play out in Slow Speed, the holder pitches the ball back to a runner on a sweep fake and fails to score. Frustrating AI..

Any House Rules anyone can suggest?

I would if they were separate values for Hum and CPU.

The problem with just lowering the accuracy is that once you get below 32 or 33 you get the shank animation almost every time. But if it's at 35 you can still miss the blue by a decent margin and make the field goal. The Field Goal sliders are almost worthless.

Lower the actual kicker's accuracy ratings, not the sliders.

For my classic rosters, I keep accuracy ratings below 90 and most kickers are in the 70s and some in the 60s. Only guys who were/are really good hit the mid 80s-90.

I have pretty good results with that. Also keep kicker's Awareness in the 50s-60s

This isn’t a house rule but a suggestion for future editions, what if the sweet spot of the accuracy meter wasn’t in the same spot every time? At least that would make it tougher to perfect the timing aspect. Higher rated kickers can have the sweet spot appear in the same spot more often.

If they did kicking like how 2k was back in the day and no line showing where the ball will to that would help immensely

I set Play the Moments sim speed to slow, and I sim all FG and Punts, because on slow you can watch them.

On default though you will see too many come up short. The best settings for this method are 65 FGP and 35 FGA, 42 PP and 50 PA
