slightly longer answer: they're doing 3 updates (1 is already out) and anything they do add is going into current gen and next gen. The "real" updates are probably not until Madden 22.

Thanks! Was hoping they would add some additional features into Franchise next gen as those 3 updates look extremely underwhelming IMO. Would be nice to get the player creation suite and some of the equipment from The yard into franchise at least... Their franchise mode is so behind 2k. Looks like presentation will get some upgrades.

Will Madden update the equipment with a patch? The equipment still looks like its pasted, in the yard the arm sleeves and undershirts 3D or realistic... it's next-gen they have to fix that!*

Doubt it... Usually, they hype up any small thing they are adding. If they don't mention it I wouldn't expect anything based on their history...
