2k11 reigns supreme, of course. 2k16 holds a solid silver medal though.


When you rank games like these, it's so important to measure them based on the time period of their release & the context around them.


In October of 2010, there was nothing even close to the level of what 2k11 brought. Absolutely amazing game for its time.


2k16 had shades of 2k11 in terms of gamepaly, but 5 years of "progression" should've made it stand out a little more than 2k11, but it didn't. Not that it's a bad thing at all, because 2k11 is the holy grail of bball games anyway.


Fast forward to 2k21, & if we're being dead honest about the game as it relates to the time period it was released in.......It's awful. There's nothing about this game that resembles realism or physics, & that's just brutally disappointing. I truly hope 2k22 is the "real" next gen 2k, because other than the graphics on Series X/PS5, the gameplay is an absolute dumpster fire. Online is nothing but exploits too.

Thx for the info. Problem is today that they listen to much to the casual gamer who plays myteam and myplayer. And they made on this modes millions a year.
And realistic gamer stand in the cold, because the game becomes more and more arcade style and don't see it change quickly. Maybe in the future when it isn't allowed anymore to buy packs with real money it will become more realistic again otherwise not.
