UFC 4 in the ground game fighter always the same body size

You can see Stefan Struve slam to the ground
He shrank size in the instant

anyone see these problems ?
When you play open weight
Demetrious Johnson vs. Stefan Struve
Shortest vs. Tallest fighters
they will become same body size in the ground

I think on the ground in this game
they will always become the same body size on the ground
in the same weight division, we can't easy found that

cut corners ?
what is going on this game

This is a design decision, it is part of their IK scaling system. Basically, they make the smaller fighter equal to the bigger fighter in terms of size so there are no visual problems when they grapple. Same thing was in UFC 3 as well.

It's been like that since UFC 1 if you've only noticed now it was probably the right decision.

If body sizes stayed the same on the ground and you had fighters that were two drastically different sizes, there would be an insane amount of limbs clipping through their opponent's body.

As silly as the incredible shrinking Struve looks, the alternative would look far worse. Unless there's some super-secret genius technique out there to avoid clipping I don't know about.

I got lots of problems with how UFC 4 handles grappling, but this isn't one of them. Does feel like I've seen fighters retain their smaller size when they get back up, though. Wanna say I saw it with Tyson Fury, but it's been a while.

this can be changed in the next gen.
we had limitations in our current engine maybe this is for the game run better, not a problem at all

Yeah the fighters retaining their ground scale when standing has popped up periodically in the game. It's a complicated system that goes into adjusting the scaling in such a way that it doesn't happen at times that would be noticeable. We have addressed as many cases as we could and until I read your comment above I thought we had all of them. As the dude who was responsible for fixing most of the scaling issues that cropped up I can tell you they are a PITA.
