Franchise Mode - Draft Pick trade issue?

I searched for this but couldn't find anything. I was messing around with franchise mode until the scouting update comes out and I had traded Khalil Mack to the Giants for some picks in the next draft. When all was done, Mack was on the Giants but I didn't end up receiving the picks I traded for. Is this a known issue or am I overlooking something? It's been a few years since I've played Madden so maybe this is an ongoing issue.

I've seen an issue where the traded picks are not reflected in the trade UI until you exit and go back in. So if you were looking to make another trade right away, maybe flipping one of those picks, you just need to back out ot the top level franchise menu, then back into the trade menu.

Is this what happened?
