The next-gen version is absolutely beautiful from the true broadcast cam.

Not just next gen. I’m using PS4 pro and I could see a huge difference, I feel like I’m playing PS5 version as well lol. It just really pops especially the ice, the lighting and it plays smoother I find.

Though I do notice the uniforms and helmet colours are different on some. Leafs (my team dammit!), Canucks (Vancouver and Abbotsford) and the Jets are 3 that comes to mind. Hopefully the next update will fix them.

The color palette is absolutely embarrassing. Center ice logos are neon. The crowd is too dark. All of the colors just look horrible in HDR. And, no. It's not my tv. Madden looks fantastic.

very similar initial impression with the color palette; turned down my tv’s color slider to like 44 and found it helped a bit.

Is it just me, or do the fans look nothing like next gen?

And yes, some of the center ice logos look horrible. Take a look at Nashvilles, the yellow is awful, and the logo itself looks like it was cut out with ms paint or something.

I found the graphics are amazing, colours are off in some areas. Once they get them right.. it’ll definitely be an eye opener! I found the contrast to be much better. Playing for some teams on the ice in previous versions I found was hard on my eyes, lots of glaring but now it’s more crisp and realistic.

Re: NHL 22 Makes Successful Transition to Next-Gen Consoles

Just played Be A Pro over the weekend and what an absolute POS this mode is. It's exactly the same as last year with the same stupid coach/player interviews that have zero impact on anything. Why did they even bother wasting space for this mode if they will just copy and paste the same exact crap from last year...
