Running animations in M22 versus M21 and M20

On ps4, I am disappointed in the running animations for Madden 22. Running backs are not quite running, but more like steering a car, swerving left and right as they run. It looks really strange and unnatural.

On top of that, there are tackling animations where running backs are falling forward for five or 10 yards which looks ridiculous.

I'm wondering if the same problem existed in Madden 21 or 20 because the last version I have previous to this one is 19 where I don't recall having this problem.

should I try last year's version or the year before?

Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

The running animation was good in Madden 20. Madden 19 it was worse than 20 but better than 22 in my opinion. I only rented Madden 22 but the bad running animation was one of the reasons I didn’t buy it. Madden 21 I don’t remember how it was.
